Leamington Hibs player-coach Rich Kay said it was “one of those days” after his side were thrashed 4-0 at home by Midlands Combination Division Two leaders Paget Rangers.

The late arrival of the Paget Rangers kitman forced the match to kick-off 20 minutes late but the visitors quickly made up for lost time with David Franklin scoring inside ten seconds.

Franklin doubled his, and Paget’s, tally in the fourth minute and completed his hat-trick five minutes before the break following a mix up between Ash Knight and keeper Olly Manuel

The Paget keeper made three excellent saves, twice denying Calum Yeates and keeping out a low drive from Matty Trinder to prevent Hibs getting back into the game after the break and with the hosts pushing forward, Franklin added his fourth of the game with ten minutes remaining.
