Leamington Art Gallery & Museum: Terry Frost: A Leamington Lad, an exhibition running until October 11.

Periodic Tales: The Art of the Elements

Exhibition runs at Compton Verney from October 3 to December 13. The exhibition is based on the best-selling book, Periodic Tales: The Curious Lives of the Elements by Hugh Aldersey-Williams. It explores the way in which the elements in the Periodic Table have inspired artists over the centuries and the rich cultural legacy and associated meanings to which artists continue to respond. The concepts are presented through a line-up of work by well-known national and international contemporary artists including Joseph Beuys, Tim Etchells, Antony Gormley, Thomas Heatherwick, Roger Hiorns, Maria Lalic, John Newling, David Nash RA, Eduardo Paolozzi, Cornelia Parker RA, Simon Patterson, Fiona Banner, Tania Kovats, Marc Quinn, Lucy Skaer, Danny Lane, Kate Williams, Bill Woodrow RA, Annie Cattrell, Lucia Nogueira and Julia+Ken Yonetani. A Coventry and Warwickshire firm of accountants and business advisors is to swap its desks for the dance floor during a charity gig night. Harrison Beale & Owen (HB&O), which has offices in Coventry and Leamington, is set to host its second annual charity gig which will include music from local covers band Rewind. The event will take place at The Newbold Comyn Arms in Newbold Terrace, Leamington, and raise money for HB&O’s nominated charity for 2015, Myton Hospice.

In their first full UK tour performing New Order’s third and fourth albums, Low Life and Brotherhood, Peter Hook & The Light play at The Assembly, Leamington.
